Promoting tourism in association with Quan Ho Folk Song Theater in Bac Ninh and Dong Ho Painting Conservation Center
(BNP) - The Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism hosted a talk show and exchange program on establishing tours related to the Bac Ninh Quan Ho Folk Song Theater and Dong Ho Folk Painting Conservation Center on the afternoon of May 19 at the Quan Ho Folk Song Theater.
Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Xuan Trung chaired the talk show.
The Quan Ho Bac Ninh Folk Song Theater, located in Diem Village (Bac Ninh City), was opened and put into operation in 2019. Many events that attract a significant number of people and visitors are held here on a regular basis, such as: singing Quan Ho folk songs on the boat, performing Quan Ho on stage, experiencing Quan Ho costumes, learning about Quan Ho culture...
Along with that, the Center for Conservation of Dong Ho Folk Paintings (Thuan Thanh Town) was established, put into operation, and has planned numerous useful activities like teaching and practicing the art of creating Dong Ho folk paintings, putting on a Dong Ngu water puppet show, playing military drums from Bui Xa village, introducing Nem Bui, Tuong Dinh To, and Dau Tra Lam, and so on.
The delegates also discussed and proposed numerous solutions during the talk show to develop tourism related to the two locations mentioned above, with a focus on developing infrastructure for tourism with supporting services, tourism mementos, environmental conditions, and solutions for communication and promotion; developing tours appropriate for each type of visitor. According to certain viewpoints, it is vital to research and produce tourism-related products and tours with particular features for visitors who plan to stay overnight. Examples include scheduling routine Quan Ho singing programs at Chua House and Quan Ho Folk Song Theater performances in Bac Ninh.
The talk show serves as a forum for discussion among managers, local government officials, and travel companies in order to identify solutions for local tourist development based on potentials already present. The Conference's perspectives served as the foundation for future study, construction, and development of the tourism industry by the Culture, Sports, and Tourism sector.
On the 133rd anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth (May 19, 1890 – May 19, 2023), Bac Ninh Quan Ho Folk Song Theater staged a performance to sing Quan Ho folk songs on a boat at Lady King lake area (Viem Xa region, Hoa Long ward, Bac Ninh city).
