Bac Ninh sports win 96 Gold Medals at National and International Sports Tournaments
(BNP) - According to the report of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in 2024, Bac Ninh sent 72 delegations of athletes to compete in national and international sports tournaments and excellently won 326 medals of all kinds, including 96 gold medals, 94 silver medals, and 136 bronze medals.

At the International Sports Tournament, athletes won 15 medals (05 gold, 04 silver, 06 bronze). In particular, weightlifter Trinh Van Vinh of Bac Ninh officially won a ticket to the 2024 Paris Olympics. Athlete Do Tu Tung won 01 gold medal in the 55kg category at the 2024 World Youth Weightlifting Championship. Athlete Do Ngoc Linh won 01 gold medal in the 50kg category in the U20 age group at the 2024 World Beach Wrestling Championship.
The National Sports Tournaments, they won 311 medals with 91 gold medals, 90 silver medals, and 130 bronze medals.
Kinh Bac Women’s Volleyball Team participated in Round 1 of the 2024 National A-Class Volleyball Tournament. The team won 4/4 matches, ranked first in Group D. They participated in the 2024 National Youth Volleyball Championship in Quang Tri, ranked 3rd out of 12 participating teams. They also won a Bronze Medal, and participated in the National A-Class Volleyball Finals in Tra Vinh province, winning a Silver Medal.
Bac Ninh also coordinated with the Vietnam Tennis Federation and Hanaka Group Joint Stock Company to successfully organize 02 international sports tournaments: 2024 Asian Tennis Championship (U14 qualifying round), and 2024 Davis Cup Tennis World Group II Play-offs. At the same time, the province successfully advised on organizing 04 national sports tournaments: 2024 National Judo Club Championship; 13th National Fencing Youth Championship 2024; 2024 National Second Division Football Tournament; 2024 National Children’s Football Tournament (U11) Final Round in Bac Ninh; and 2024 National Badminton Tournament for Excellent Players.
Thereby, it not only creates a playground for sports teams to exchange, compete, and learn from competition experiences, but also contributes to the movement of “All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho”, as well as promotes and introduces the land, people, and potential strengths of Bac Ninh to domestic and international friends.
