 In the process of becoming a centrally-run city in 2022, the provincial leaders always pay attention in the direction to promote the work of investment promotion as well as facilitate non-governmental organizations to invest in the province. Until now, 26 non-governmental organizations have been registered operation in the province, of which, there are 17 non-governmental organizations in operation. The Kenan Foundation is one of four non-governmental organizations of the United States (US) in operation in Bac Ninh.

The Kenan Foundation's project "Strengthening the awareness and practice of international labor standards" was approved and accepted by the Provincial People's Committee in August 2017. After more than 1 year of operation, the Provincial People's Committee highly appreciated the practicality and effectiveness of the project for the implementation of international labor standards, contributing to creating a harmonious and progressive labor relations in enterprises, accelerating the integration process and increasing the economic efficiency of enterprises in the Industrial Zones in the province.

In the coming time, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Phong hoped that foreign non-governmental organizations in general and the US in particular will continue promoting investment cooperation in the field of trade, electronics industry and high technology with an aim to facilitating Bac Ninh enterprises to export handicraft products into the US market as well as enhancing people's diplomacy and cultural exchanges, thereby, promoting the friendship and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and the US.

At the forum, representatives of Kenan Foundation reported the results in the implementation of the project "Strengthening the awareness and practice of international labor standards" in Bac Ninh province. At present, Kenan has organized workshops and communication activities to raise awareness for nearly 3,000 people on international labor standards through social networking, factories and resorts; surveyed 100 factories in three industrial zones including Dai Dong, VSIP and Tien Son to determine the need and improvement of enterprises in the implementation of international labor standards.

Also at the forum, laborers, business owners and State management agencies jointly shared and found solutions to remove difficulties in the deployment of dialogue at enterprises, participated in counter-measures to well- perform foreign affairs between the parties in order to build a harmonious and progressive labor relationship in the enterprise…, creating opportunities to promote the international model for practice social responsibility, linking employees and sharing opinions between  employees, employers and state management agencies in practicing international labor standards in the enterprises.
