Korea DPR captures the crown of the International Women's Volleyball Tournament - LienVietPostBank Cup
(BNP) - In the evening of March 1st, the final match and the closing ceremony of the International Women's Volleyball Tournament in 2019 - LienVietPostBank Cup were taken place at the Provincial Multi-purpose Gymnasium.
Provincial leaders and Vietnam Volleyball Federation hand the trophy to the Korean DPR team.
After 8 days of competition (from February 22nd to March 1st), 8 teams gave the audience nice performances, meeting the love of sports of the audience.
At the final match, Thongtin LienVietPostBank and Korea DPR all dispatched a strong squad, entered cautiously and played certainly. However, with a speedy and proactive approach, the Korean DPR team promoted its strength and overwhelmed the LienVietPostBank team. As a result, the Korean DPR team won convincingly with a score of 3- 0 (25-16, 25-14, 25-15) and became the LienVietPostBank Cup 2019’s champion.
At the end of the tournament, the Organizing Committee awarded the trophy and the prize worth USD 15,000 to the Korean DPR team; while Thongtin LienVietPostBank team won the runner-up position with the reward of USD 10,000; VTV Binh Dien Long An took the 3rd place with a prize of USD 6,000.
In addition, the Organizing Committee also handed the styling award for Kinh Bac - Bac Ninh team and a wide range of individual prizes such as The best Middle Hitter, The best Outside Hitter, The best Opposite Hitter, The best Setter, The best Libero, The best Promising Player, and Miss of the tournament.
The final round of the International Women's Volleyball Tournament in 2019 - LienVietPostBank Cup has ended and left a good impression on the hearts of the people and visitors. This is also an opportunity for Bac Ninh to strengthen the introduction and promotion of economic, cultural, sports, tourism potentials and socio-economic development achievements of the province to domestic and international friends and visitors.
