PM Pham Minh Chinh receives large corporations and enterprises investing in Bac Ninh

(BNP) - Right after the Conference on announcement of Planning and Investment Promotion for Bac Ninh province, Prime Minister (PM) Pham Minh Chinh on September 22, received and worked with leaders of Samsung Vietnam Complex, Phu My Hung Development Company Limited and Aeon Mall Vietnam Company, which are large corporations and enterprises investing in the province.

Also attending the meeting were Mr. Huynh Thanh Dat, member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Science and Technology; Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies; Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

At the meeting, General Director of Samsung Vietnam Complex Choi Joo Ho said that with the active support of the Government, ministries, sectors, localities, especially Bac Ninh province, Samsung has decided on a long-term investment strategy in Vietnam. In particular, Samsung will invest USD 1.8 billion in a new project in Bac Ninh province to manufacture OLED screens for mobile phones, IT equipment, and automobiles. Mr. Choi Joo Ho hoped that Vietnam would continue to create favorable conditions for Samsung to develop and provide high-quality human resources to serve the company's new projects.

PM Pham Minh Chinh congratulated and praised Samsung's business results and investment strategy in Vietnam, saying that Samsung's efficient cooperation and investment in Vietnam is a model in the economic cooperation relationship between Vietnam and Korea. At the same time, he hoped that Samsung would continue to participate more deeply in the transformation of Vietnam's digital, green, and knowledge economies, particularly in emerging industries such as semiconductor chips, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and innovation.

The PM congratulated Mr. Gary Tseng on the Company's recent investments and business successes in Vietnam, which have contributed to the socio-economic development of Vietnam.

Mr. Gary Tseng said that Phu My Hung has invested in Vietnam for over 30 years, mainly in the fields of real estate and urban development. Thanks to the attention of the Government, ministries, sectors and localities, Phu My Hung has invested effectively and continued to expand its investment to many provinces and cities, in which, the project in Bac Ninh has received special attention from provincial leaders, creating favorable conditions and promptly removing difficulties and obstacles. The company urged the Government, ministries, sectors and localities to continue to remove difficulties and create favorable conditions for Phu My Hung to increase its investment in Vietnam. At the same time, it hoped to participate in the Vietnamese stock market to mobilize more resources for investment.

Welcoming Phu My Hung Corporation to continue expanding its investment in Vietnam, the PM suggested that Phu My Hung should invest in urban areas and real estate serving a large population, but with high-quality infrastructure and services. At the same time, it should provide additional infrastructure to serve society and consider participating more deeply in the development of cultural, medical and educational infrastructure in Vietnam.

Mr. Nakagawa Tetsuyuki, General Director of Aeon Mall Vietnam Company told the PM that Aeon Mall is promoting investment in numerous shopping centers in Vietnam, including Bac Ninh province. He hoped that the Prime Minister would pay attention and direct localities to create favorable conditions for Aeon to soon implement this project.

PM Pham Minh Chinh highly appreciated Aeon Mall's investment and business activities in Vietnam, demonstrating the strengthening of the connection between the two economies of Vietnam and Japan. At the same time, he affirmed that the Vietnamese Government supports Aeon Mall's business because this is also a growth engine of Vietnam that the Government is strongly encouraging.
