Provincial leader receives and works with the Delegation on energy saving

(BNP) – In the afternoon of January 23rd, Mr. Nguyen Tien Nhuong, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee received and worked with a Delegation of the Ministry of Industry and Trade in collaboration with the World Bank in Vietnam and experts from China’s Energy Research Institute of the National Development and Reform Commission visiting and researching the energy use in Bac Ninh.

Thank the delegation for visiting and researching in the province, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tien Nhuong emphasized that Bac Ninh is one of the localities consuming large amounts of electricity to serve industrial production in the province. Therefore, energy saving is an essential issue in order to ensure sustainable development and long-term stability of the province.

The Permanent Vice Chairman affirmed that the province would facilitate the Delegation to explore and survey in Bac Ninh as well as assign the Department of Industry and Trade to be a focal point to provide necessary service documents with an aim to ensuring the goal of saving energy.

At the working session, the functional departments introduced about the structure, the growth rate, total output value according to the structure of industrial and commercial production of the province in the 2014 - 2018 period; the energy consumption by sectors, fields and the whole province in the period of 2014 – 2018…

Through the working session, the delegation will grasp the situation and trend of energy-using and the potential of energy-saving of Bac Ninh province, thereby, proposing solutions to help Bac Ninh in implementing the National Target Program for energy-saving.
