Provincial museum organizes many activities to attract visitors to visit, research and learn
(BNP) - In 2024, the Provincial Museum organized many exhibition activities on the occasion of major holidays and anniversaries of the country and the province, thereby attracting many visitors to visit, study, and research the province’s history and culture.

In 2024, the Provincial Museum focused on promoting propaganda on the occasion of the country's major anniversaries such as: the display of "Dien Bien Phu, the strength of Vietnam in the era" at the Provincial Museum; mobile exhibition outside the province "Bac Ninh in the resistance war against France" at the Dien Bien Phu Historical Victory Museum (Dien Bien province). The Provincial Museum and the Provincial Association of Revolutionary Soldiers imprisoned by the enemy jointly organized a mobile exhibition "The example of a revolutionary soldier of Bac Ninh province imprisoned by the enemy" in Tien Du district on the occasion of the 49th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification; mobile exhibition "Hero of the People's Armed Forces - Hoang Dang Mien Steel Lotus" in the localities: Gia Binh, Luong Tai, Thuan Thanh…, thereby attracting more than 38,500 visitors.
The Provincial Museum organized experiential education programs on the occasion of the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin with the theme "Spring trip to Quan Ho land" and the Mid-Autumn Festival with the theme "Happy Mid-Autumn Festival 2024" with attractive activities such as: Printing Dong Ho paintings, sharpening Phu Lang pottery, grinding flour with a stone mortar, making banh troi nuoc, mixing fruit drinks; folk games such as smashing pots, jumping on bamboo poles, painting statues, tug of war, catching fish with bamboo baskets; collective activities such as soldiers on the training ground, special forces soldiers, overcoming obstacles to the bridge...
On the 15th anniversary of UNESCO's recognition of Bac Ninh Quan Ho Folk Songs as an intangible cultural asset of humanity, the Provincial Museum hosted a special exhibition titled "Bac Ninh Quan Ho Folk Songs - Preservation and dissemination". With over 200 images, documents, and typical artifacts selected from the Provincial Museum's archives and related organizations, individuals, agencies, and localities, the exhibition provides visitors and people from all walks of life inside and outside the province with information and a thorough understanding of the value of Bac Ninh Quan Ho Folk Songs, as well as a commitment to preserving and promoting humanity's cultural heritage.
The Provincial Museum mobilized organizations and individuals to donate 129 artifacts, 02 documents, 42 photo files for research and display; completed the research, review, and cataloging of 799 typical artifacts to serve the task of digitizing artifacts. Successfully organized the scientific workshop "Solutions to preserve and promote relics and sites where President Ho Chi Minh visited and worked in Bac Ninh province". It in coordination with the National Museum of History organized archaeological excavations at the Luy Lau ancient citadel; received 245 archaeological excavation artifacts from Tinh Lu pagoda (Lang Ngam commune, Gia Binh district) excavated in 2022 and handed over by the University of Social Sciences and Humanities; entered information from 529 artifact files into the artifact management software under the direction of the Department of Cultural Heritage.
