Weightlifter Do Tu Tung wins 3 Gold Medals at 2023 Asian Youth and Junior Weightlifting Championships
(BNP) – 2023 Asian Youth and Junior Weightlifting Championships took place from July 28 to August 5, 2023 in India.
Weightlifter Do Tu Tung receives the Gold Medal.
The competition attracted 220 weightlifters from 18 Asian countries competing in Youth and Junior categories. Bac Ninh was represented by two weightlifters including Do Tu Tung, who competed in Junior category, and Bui Minh Dao, who competed in Youth category.
Bac Ninh ended up with six medals. Weightlifter Do Tu Tung earned 3 gold medals in the categories including 115kg men’s snatch category, 145kg men’s clean & jerk category, and men’s total lift of 260kg. According to the above results, weightlifter Do Tu Tung ranked first out of 10 weightlifters, winning the 55kg category.
Weightlifter Bui Minh Dao won 1 Silver medal in the 93kg men’s snatch category; 1 Silver medal in 116kg men’s clean & jerk category; 1 Bronze medal in men’s total lift of 209kg.
Previously, weightlifter Do Tu Tung also won 2 Gold medals at the 2023 Asian Championships taking place in May 2023 in Korea.
