Donating nearly VND 800 million in Journey "Bringing Mid-Autumn Festival to children affected by storms and floods"

(BNP) - In order to promptly encourage children affected by storms and floods, on the morning of September 17, in Cao Duc commune (Gia Binh district), the Provincial Youth Union organized the Journey "Bringing Mid-Autumn Festival to children affected by storms and floods".

Attending the Program were Mr. Ha Sy Tiep, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission; leaders of the Provincial Youth Union, the Provincial Youth Union, the Provincial Young Entrepreneurs Association and Gia Binh district.

At the Program, the Organizing Committee presented 100 gifts including cash, school supplies, and candies (with a total value of VND 135 million) to disadvantaged children and teenagers affected by storm No. 3 in Gia Binh district thereby, contributing to sharing and encouraging them to overcome difficulties, excel in studying, training, and welcoming a warm and happy Mid-Autumn Festival.

On this occasion, the Provincial Youth Union and the Provincial Young Entrepreneurs Association supported human resource to encourage the Gia Binh District Youth Volunteer Team to overcome the consequences of storm No. 3 with a total value of VND 10 million and presented 2 water purifiers to Le Van Thinh Secondary School and Nhan Thang Primary School.

Immediately after the program, the Provincial Youth Union and the Provincial Young Entrepreneurs Association visited and presented gifts to 15 households affected by storm No. 3 in Nhan Thang and Giang Son communes (each gift worth VND 3.5 million). Up to now, the Provincial Youth Union and the Provincial Young Entrepreneurs Association presented 61 gifts to families severely affected by the storm with a total value of VND 213 million, encouraged and supported human resource for the Youth Volunteer Teams to carry out the work of overcoming the consequences of the storm in Gia Binh district, Yen Phong district and Que Vo town with a total value of VND 30 million. 

The journey "Bringing Mid-Autumn Festival to children affected by storms and floods" was coordinated by the Provincial Youth Union with units deployed in some localities in the province heavily affected by storm No. 3 and Bac Ninh Pediatrics and Obstetrics Hospital (including cash and school supplies, candy, books, Mid-Autumn lanterns) with a total value of nearly VND 800 million. This is a meaningful program for children in areas heavily affected by recent storms and floods and children who have to celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival far from home to get timely attention and encouragement from social organizations.
