English Speaking Contest for Primary and Secondary School of Tu Son City in 2024 organized

Participants at the Contest were representatives from the Department of Education and Training, leaders of Tu Son City, and a large number of officials, teachers, students, and people in the city.

The English Speaking Contest for Primary School Students and the English Eloquence Contest for Secondary School Students are held annually. This is an opportunity for students to demonstrate their English skills and knowledge, develop language skills, and improve their listening and speaking skills. At the same time, it create opportunities for primary schools to exchange teaching and learning experiences as well as improve the quality of English teaching, especially listening and speaking skills in English. Through the contest, the organizing committee will select outstanding candidates to participate in the provincial contest.

This year's contest had the participation of 57 candidates selected through rounds from primary and secondary schools in the city. At the primary level, candidates draw lots and speak on topics; answer the jury's questions surrounding the topic; and the presentation time should not exceed 8 minutes.

For the English Eloquence contest for secondary school students, candidates take turns going through 3 parts: introducing themselves, family, and school with a video clip, being eloquent about a prescribed topic, and answering questions from the jury related to the selected topic; the presentation time should not exceed 9 minutes.

According to plan, the contest takes place over 2 days, March 14 - 15, 2024. At the end of the contest, the organizing committee will award first, second, and third prizes and additional prizes to excellent contestants.
