Secretary of Provincial Party Committee works with Bac Ninh College of Industry

Joining the delegation were Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee and Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Phung Duc Chien, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Committee; and leaders of the provincial departments, branches, and sectors.

After 54 years of construction and development, Bac Ninh College of Industry now has 5 functional rooms and 5 specialized faculties, with a total number of officials and employees of 108 people, including 81 lecturers.

The school is training 17 majors and occupations with nearly 2,400 students per year. Notably, there are two occupations that meet German standards and international standards: Industrial Electronics and Precision Mechanics-Metal Cutting has been training 150 students. The rate of students having jobs is over 96%.

At the conference, delegates discussed and reported on the progress of implementing the Investment and Development Project of Bac Ninh College of Industry to become a high-quality school by 2025, analyzed and clarified the causes, difficulties, and obstacles related to the construction, renovation, and expansion of facilities, policies to attract vocational lecturers, recruitment, and increase in the size of lecturers as well as proposed solutions for implementation in the near future.

Concluding the meeting, Secretary Nguyen Anh Tuan affirmed that Bac Ninh has become an industrial province and is one of the few localities that has succeeded in simultaneously transforming its economic and labor structures. That success has a great contribution from vocational training schools, including Bac Ninh College of Industry.

On the other hand, he said that the province is researching and developing a resolution of the People's Council on a mechanism to support training and provide human resources in the field of digital industry and high technology.

The Secretary requested the Department of Home Affairs and the Department of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs to guide the early implementation of the merger of Thuan Thanh Traditional Economic-Technical Vocational and Handicraft Vocational School and the Vocational Training and Farmer Support Center enter Bac Ninh Industrial College. The Department of Finance and the Department of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs research and allocate capital for education and training or health care purposes for schools to renovate small facilities to install equipment; separate equipment projects from facility investment projects. After the merger is completed, the school needs to conduct research to establish an investment project for new facilities, he added.

The Secretary also urged the school arrange for lecturers to go on geography field trip at the enterprises and train in other countries; strengthen international cooperation.
