Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam ​to Italy Duong Hai Hung received and worked with the Delegation.

On behalf of Bac Ninh delegation, Vice Chairman Dao Quang Khai briefed on the province’s cultural and socio-economic development over the past time to the Ambassador. Bac Ninh has become an attractive destination for domestic and foreign investors due to its advantage of geographical location and an open investment attraction policies. Up to now, the province has issued investment registration for 1,975 projects from 39 countries and territories totaling more than USD 24.4 billion. Among which, Italy has 06 investment projects in Bac Ninh with a total capital of USD 57.2 million after adjustment, capital contribution, purchase of shareholding and capital share.

Especially, in 2022, Bac Ninh's economy has grown rapidly, exceeding the set plan with many indicators among the top in the country such as: Export value ranked second; FDI attraction ranked third; Provincial Green Index (PGI) ranked 3rd; Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI) ranked 7^th and so on.

In the coming time, Bac Ninh province will continue to focus on selective investment attraction, green investment projects, high-tech industry, supporting industry associated with advanced management and administration methods, hi-tech agriculture, clean agriculture, high-class service and trade complexes and infrastructure investment projects, urban development, ecology, etc.

Khai underlined that 2023 is a significant year to mark 50th anniversary of Vietnam-Italy diplomatic relations (1973-2023). He hoped that the Ambassador in particular and the Embassy of Vietnam in Italy in general will support and facilitate the Bac Ninh people in Italy to comfortably live, study and work; encourage businesses to invest in Bac Ninh province as well as support the province in carrying out the information exchange activities, promoting distinctive cultural values, heritages, and famous tourist destination to the Italian people.

In the forth coming time, the Ambassador will pay attention and promote to the Italian people to know and support the Dong Ho folk painting profession of Bac Ninh, which has been recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage in Need of Urgent Safeguarding.

For his part, Ambassador Duong Hai Hung stated that he will be ready to help and create more favorable conditions for increasing diplomatic activities between the two sides in order to achieve positive results in the future.

*On August 25, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dao Quang Khai and the delegation had a working session with Studio Fuksas Company (Italy).

Studio Fuksas is an international architectural firm with offices in Rome, Paris and Shenzhen. Over the past 40 years, the company has developed an over 600 projects receiving numerous international awards. In 2022, the Company's typical projects include: Gelendzgik Airport (Russia); Restructure and development of the Fontvieille region (Monaco); CBD Cultural Center (Beijing, China)...

According to Vice Chairman Dao Quang Khai, Bac Ninh is now working on developing large-scale ecological urban regions, meeting the synchronous requirements of technical and social infrastructure in the direction of modern, sustainable green architecture... As a result of its expertise and experience, Studio Fuksas Company will support and advise Bac Ninh province on urban development options as well as suggestions for creating a modern Bac Ninh architectural with local cultural imprints. At the same time, the Company also support the province in researching, planning and managing the underground space system, urban underground traffic based on the TOD model, ensuring the city's sustainable development, Khai added.
