(BNP) - On the morning of March 15th, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Viet Oanh attended the opening ceremony of the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and deputies to the People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term in Tan Yen commune.

From early morning, at the polling station of Hoang Hoa Tham village cultural center - polling station No. 1 in electoral unit No. 1, Tan Yen commune, a large number of voters were present to exercise their rights and civic duties. The election organization was meticulously prepared; the polling station was decorated solemnly, ensuring compliance with regulations.

According to statistics, Tan Yen commune has 5 electoral units with 68 polling stations and a total of over 37,000 voters. Of these, more than 35,000 voters participated in the three-level elections: National Assembly deputies, Provincial People's Council deputies, and Commune People's Council deputies; nearly 1,500 voters participated in the two-level elections: National Assembly deputies and Provincial People's Council deputies. Hoang Hoa Tham village alone has nearly 500 voters. Thanks to good preparation and intensified propaganda, the locality strives to achieve a high voter turnout rate.
At the opening ceremony, the Election Committee approved the election regulations and polling station rules; inspected the main and auxiliary ballot boxes and proceeded to seal them as prescribed. Immediately afterward, voters were invited to cast their ballots to exercise their right to vote.

After attending the opening ceremony, Comrade Nguyen Viet Oanh and the working group inspected and assessed the election situation at several polling stations in Nha Nam and Ngoc Thien communes.
