(BNP) - On the morning of January 15th, a delegation from Bac Ninh province led by Mr. Mai Son, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, visited and worked at the Viettel Logistics Park in Lang Son.

Delegates attend the meeting.

At the meeting, the delegation visited the site and received a presentation from representatives of the Viettel Logistics Park - Lang Son on the park's overview, functions, tasks, and facilities operating in the logistics sector.

According to the report, the Viettel Logistics Park is being built in a strategically important location, contributing to affirming Lang Son as a crucial logistics gateway in the Trans-Asian economic corridor, connecting ASEAN and China. The model is designed to integrate all logistics services, including customs clearance, quarantine, inspection, transshipment, and warehousing.

Representatives from Viettel Post report on the construction and operation of the smart border gate model and the Viettel Logistics Park in Lang Son province.

The project is notable for its use of several current technical solutions in administration and operation, including automated vehicle traffic flow systems, e-commerce cargo sorting, smart weighing systems, contactless control, and centralized management based on real-time data. The control center is equipped with an AI camera system monitoring all entry and exit actions, and an operating indicator board graphically shows import and export data over time.

After more than two months of operation, the model has shown clear effectiveness in shortening customs clearance time. The processing time for export goods has been reduced to approximately 30 minutes; for import goods, it has been reduced to 1 to 1.5 hours. Current customs clearance capacity averages about 100 containers per day and can be increased to 250 containers per day, aiming for a long-term capacity of 1,000 vehicles per day in the near future.

Viettel is also gradually implementing digital connectivity with China, digitizing and standardizing documents, sharing business data, and aiming for a "one-time inspection, quick resolution" model in import and export activities. Simultaneously, the project is testing new technologies such as the SmartGate smart gateway, 100% automated payment, and the application of autonomous vehicles in goods transportation, gradually forming a modern and transparent logistics environment.

Besides its operations in Lang Son, Viettel reported on its development direction for technology-based logistics projects and its cooperation plan with Bac Ninh province to form a comprehensive logistics supply chain. The focus is on connecting the logistics chain from Bac Ninh to Lang Son, directly serving the import and export activities of businesses in industrial zones; deploying smart warehouses, logistics infrastructure linked to international railways, and researching low-level economic models.
