By 2025, agriculture sector strives to achieve total aquatic product output of nearly 42,000 tons
(BNP) - According to the report of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, in 2024, the total aquatic product output in the province reached 41,000 tons, reaching 100% of the annual plan and equaling to 101.2% over the same period in 2023.

Among which, the output of fish raised in earthen ponds reached 30,480 tons. The movement of cage fish farming on rivers continued to develop with 2,700 cages, an increase of 71 cages over the same period; 100% of the cages raised high-yield and high-quality breeds such as: catfish, crispy carp, red tilapia... The whole province has produced more than 250 million fish fry of all kinds and released more than 55,000 fish fry of all kinds to supplement and regenerate natural aquatic resources.
The province currently has 72 concentrated aquaculture areas with an area of 1,305.9 hectares, accounting for 22% of the aquaculture water surface area; over 80% of the pond area uses water fans, industrial feed, and microbiological products to treat the pond environment.
In the coming time, the agricultural sector strives to achieve a total aquatic product output of nearly 42,000 tons in 2025, producing 250 million fish fry of various types.
