Secretary of Provincial Party Committee receives Korean Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Vietnam
(BNP) – On September 11, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Head of the Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies Nguyen Anh Tuan received and worked with Korean Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Vietnam Choi Youngsam.

Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vuong Quoc Tuan also attended the meeting.

Tuan briefed on the outstanding achievements on the province’s socio-economic development with many indicators ranking at the top nationwide.
In term of operating situation of Korean enterprises in Bac Ninh, Tuan said that, among the 39 countries and territories investing in the province, Korea is the country with the greatest FDI investment in Bac Ninh with a total capital of more than USD 14 billion, making an important contribution to the province’s development.

In terms of cooperation with Korea, Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee and the Daegu city’s government signed a cooperation and friendship agreement in February 2019. Bac Ninh province is now working with Gyeongsangbuk province to sign a Memorandum of Friendship Cooperation in November 2023. On the other hand, Tu Son city also signed a cooperation and friendship agreement with Bonghwa district in Gyeongsangbuk province, while Bac Ninh city signed a cooperation and friendship agreement with Gumi city in Gyeongsangbuk province.
The Secretary hoped that the Korean Embassy in Vietnam and the Ambassador would serve as a bridge to promote good relations between the Vietnam and Korea countries, as well as Bac Ninh province and Korean provinces, cities, and enterprises in the coming time.

For his part, Ambassador Choi Youngsam believed that Bac Ninh province would continue to accompany and effectively support Korean enterprises investing in the province, particularly the Samsung Group in removing obstacles for high-quality human resources; permission of Korean workers to enter, live, and work in Bac Ninh; preparation for the Governor of Gyeongsangbuk Province's working visit to Bac Ninh…

During his tenure in Vietnam, Ambassador Choi Youngsam will focus on promoting comprehensive development cooperation between the two countries of Korea and Vietnam in general, as well as Bac Ninh province and Korean provinces, cities and enterprises in the near future.
