Vice Chairman Ngo Tan Phuong holds talks with Governor of East Kazakhstan province in Republic of Kazakhstan
(BNP) - On April 24, a delegation of Bac Ninh province led by Mr. Ngo Tan Phuong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee had a meeting with Mr. Kosherbayev E.B., Governor of East Kazakhstan province.

Vietnamese Ambassador to Kazakhstan Pham Thai Nhu Mai also attended the meeting.
At the meeting, Vice Chairman Ngo Tan Phuong highly appreciated the strong socio-economic developments of East Kazakhstan province in recent times, and introduced the potential for cooperation in trade, investment, tourism, culture, humanity and people-to-people exchange between the two provinces.

Phuong expressed his belief that the two sides were actively discussing related issues and will soon sign a Memorandum of Understanding on establishing a cooperative relationship between the two localities. From there, it will open up opportunities for comprehensive cooperation in investment, trade, science and technology, cultural and social exchanges between the two sides, thereby contributing to promoting the traditional friendship and multifaceted cooperation between Vietnam and Kazakhstan.

The Vice Chairman also shared the pain and loss of the people of East Kazakhstan province in the flood in early April this year and wished people in the affected areas to soon stabilize their lives.

For his part, the Governor of East Kazakhstan province thanked the delegation for their good feelings for the province. He expressed his good impressions of the country and people of Vietnam, especially the successful developments of Vietnam in the reform process.

He said that the government of East Kazakhstan province as well as relevant Kazakh agencies strongly support the establishment of cooperative relations with Bac Ninh. It is considered as one of the positive levers for promoting interactions between localities in the two countries, in accordance with the wishes of the two countries’ leaders and people. He is looking forward to visiting Vietnam and Bac Ninh in the near future.
During their stay in East Kazakhstan province, the delegation visited industrial and cultural facilities in East Kazakhstan province.
