8th Bac Ninh Amateur Theater Festival 2023

The leaders award souvenir flags to delegations participating in the Festival.

Participants in the Festival were leaders of the Provincial Party Committee’s Propaganda and Training Commission; the Cultural and Social Affairs Department of Provincial People's Council; the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and districts, towns as well as cities.

The Festival attracted the participation of more than 300 artisans, artists, actors and musicians from 10 mass art troupes and clubs in 08 districts, towns and cities in the province.

The mass art troupes performed 6 Cheo plays. Each play reflected a different theme about the history of the nation's struggle to build and defend the country, praising the exemplary examples in productive labor, social relations, compliance with the law and condemn negative phenomena in society...

The Festival contributes to creating a joyful and exciting atmosphere among all classes of people, practically welcoming the country's political events; and improving the professional level of composition, staging, directing, artistic creativity and performance of amateur theater actors in the province. It is also an opportunity for units to exchange and learn as well as improve the quality of works serving the people, thereby, actively contributing to the movement of building cultural life at the grassroots.

At the end of the Festival, the mass art troupe of Tu Son city, Bac Ninh city, Que Vo town, and Ngan Cau Cheo troupe (Yen Phong district) won the Gold Medals; the mass art troupe of Tien Du, Gia Binh, Luong Tai districts, Thuan Thanh town, Quang Vinh Cheo Singing Club (Bac Ninh city), and Ngo Noi Tuong Troupe (Yen Phong district) won Silver Medals. The Organizing Committee also awarded the Gold and Silver Medals to outstanding artists and actors as well as awarded a number of additional awards such as excellent author, director, and orchestra.
