Workshop on "the fourth Industrial Revolution - Opportunities and Challenges"

Attending the meeting were: Mr. Ngo Dinh Loan, former Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, former Chairman of Provincial People's Council, honorary Chairman of the provincial SME Association; Mr. Nguyen Tien Nhuong, Permanent Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee; leaders of departments and enterprises in the province.

Speaking at the conference, Permanent Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tien Nhuong affirmed that the 4^th Industrial Revolution (Industrial Revolution 4.0) is a trend that has an impact on socio-economic development of many countries including Vietnam, and Bac Ninh is not out of the trend. Over the past years, the province has organized many seminars on this field, many agencies and units have implemented activities and solutions in terms of human resources and other resources.

The Permanent Vice Chairman hoped that by the workshop, delegates would recognize the importance of the Industrial Revolution 4.0, thereby assessing the opportunities as well as finding the challenges to point out the most optimal solutions, which are able to apply in practice at their agencies and units.

At the workshop, the Institute for Socio-Economic Development Studies of the province presented an overview of the opportunities and challenges of Bac Ninh province when approaching the 4^th Technological Revolution. Accordingly, with the appearance and impact of Samsung Group in all aspects of the province and the growth with impressive numbers have made Bac Ninh more convenient access to Revolution 4.0. Furthermore, the departments, sectors analyzed the challenges for the production and business activities of SMEs in the Revolution 4.0; solutions to access to taxpayers' tools in SME management in the locality... Therefore, it helped SMEs to raise awareness, quickly approach and grasp new development opportunities in the Industrial Revolution 4.0.

On this occasion, the Provincial Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) signed a regulation on coordination with the Bac Ninh Portal to propagandize and promote the image of SMEs.
