Athlete Do Tu Tung wins 03 gold medals at the 2019 Youth World Weightlifting Championships
(BNP) - At the 2019 Youth World Weightlifting Championships taken place from March 4 to 15, 2019 in Las Vegas (USA), athlete Do Tu Tung (Bac Ninh) competed very impressively and successfully won 3 gold medals, set 3 new world youth records.

Vietnam dispatched three athletes to join the Championships including Do Tu Tung (49kg), Vuong Truong Khoi (89kg), and Nguyen Thi Thu Trang (45kg). In particular, athlete Do Tu Tung competed in the men's 49 kg class along with 7 competitors from Turkey, Romania, USA, and Ecuador. During the competition, he expressed his superiority lifting the weight successfully at all registered weight classes. In particular, Tung just performed 2 movements in each content to win 03 gold medals at the contents of the snatch and the clean and jerk, setting up 03 new world youth records.
Do Tu Tung is a typical athlete of Bac Ninh Sports Training and Competition Center. In the past 2 years, he has affirmed his name in young tournaments in the country, Southeast Asia, and Asia. At the Youth Asian Weightlifting Championships in Uzbekistan in April 2018, Do Tu Tung excelled at winning 03 gold medals in the men's 50kg.
