Bac Ninh delegation visits and works with Embassy of Vietnam in Japan
(BNP) - Within the framework of activities in Japan, a delegation of Bac Ninh province led by Mr. Nguyen Quoc Chung, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council visited and worked with the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan on the evening of September 6.

Welcoming the Bac Ninh delegation to visit and work in Japan, Ambassador Pham Quang Hieu congratulated the province’s achievements and highly valued its contributions in investment attraction from Japan, thereby contributing to promoting Vietnam-Japan cooperation.

At the meeting, Chung hoped that the Ambassador and the Embassy of Vietnam in Japan will be act as a bridge and create conditions for Bac Ninh province to find partners, opportunities for investment cooperation, production and business, connect trade, access and expand markets, and link in training high-quality human resources with an aim to strengthening friendly relations, effective investment cooperation with localities and businesses of Japan.

On the other hand, the Embassy strengthen the introduction and promotion of traditional cultural values including Bac Ninh Quan Ho Folk Song which is a representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity, thus creating conditions for promotion of the unique characteristics as well as the cultural and artistic values of Dong Ho Folk Paintings to the Japanese people, so that this folk painting line will soon be registered by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage in Need of Urgent Safeguarding, Chung said.

Chung also hoped that the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan would continue to encourage JICA to support a number of projects on environmental pollution treatment in Bac Ninh province.

The art troupe of Bac Ninh province performed various special programs and Bac Ninh Quan Ho folksongs on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan in Tokyo, Saitama, and Kanagawa, Japan.
