Standing Deputy Secretary Nguyen Quoc Chung discusses with the delegates on the sidelines of the conference.

Participants in the conference were Mr. Ngo Trinh Ha, Consulate General of Vietnam to Osaka; representative from Osaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Japan-Vietnam Trade Association as well as nearly 100 Japanese enterprises.

The conference was organized by Bac Ninh province, Consulate General of Vietnam to Osaka, Osaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry in collaboration with Japan-Vietnam Trade Association.

Speaking at the opening of the conference, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Chung, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of Provincial People’s Council expressed his pleasure to visit and work in Japan on the occasion of two countries’ organization of many activities to celebrate 50th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations.

Chung highlighted that after 26 years of re-establishing the province, Bac Ninh has basically become a modern industrial province with 24 industrial parks, of which there are 16 industrial parks in operation. Currently, Bac Ninh has economic relations with 39 countries and territories, attracting nearly 2.000 FDI investment projects, ranks 7^th of the country in attracting foreign investment. Among which, the province has attracted Japanese investment projects in the fields of electronic component manufacturing, precision mechanism and civil industry, etc. This is a favorable factor for Bac Ninh province to be researched and invested in by Japanese investors in general and Osaka in particular.

The conference overview.

At the conference, Japanese enterprises gave and directly discussed many opinions on expressing their desire to research deeper the potentials, advantages and preferential investment policies of Bac Ninh province for the foreign enterprises. Especially, they interested in the province’s environmental treatment issues in production, green development and sustainable development in the current global trend, etc.

Directly discussing with the enterprises, Chung sincerely thanked the authorities and enterprises in Osaka (Japan) for their interest, research and choice of investing in Bac Ninh. At the same time, he answered many specific contents interested in by Japanese enterprises.

Speaking at the end of the conference, Chung emphasized that the conference “Investing in Bac Ninh province” held in Osaka was a continuation of a new, higher development step in the good traditional cooperative relations between Bac Ninh province and Japanese partners. At the same time, he affirmed that Bac Ninh province always prioritizes attracting investment with its significant strengths and is willing to create favorable conditions for Japanese investors to invest in the fields and areas which the province has outstanding competitive advantages and its own potential.
