Bac Ninh to speed up submission documents of Provincial Planning for 2021 - 2030 period, vision to 2050
(BNP) – On October 21, in Hanoi city, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha hosted an online conference to speed up the process of completing documents submitted for the approval of Provincial Planning for the period 2021 – 2023, with a vision to 2050 for 12 localities: the cities of Hai Phong and Da Nang and the provinces of Ha Giang, Bac Kan, Phu Tho, Bac Ninh, Quang Ngai, Binh Phuoc, Ba Ria – Vung Tau, An Giang, Kien Giang, Ca Mau.

Participants at Bac Ninh’s venue were Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan, Alternate member of Central Party Committee and Standing Vice Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee; leaders of relevant departments and sectors.
Currently, 14 out of 63 provinces/cities in the country have the Provincial Planning approved by the Prime Minister; 12 localities have submitted to the Prime Minister for consideration and approval; 33 are reviewing and completing according to the recommendations from the National Appraisal Council and central ministries and sectors; 4 have not yet submitted the draft Provincial Planning to the National Appraisal Council.
Bac Ninh province is among 12 provinces/cities that have submitted to the Prime Minister for consideration and approval of the Provincial Planning. However, like other localities, Bac Ninh still faces difficulties in signing and stamping to confirm the diagram and map system of the Provincial Planning; some higher-level plans have not been approved causing the lack of important basis in the process of developing the Provincial Planning content.
At the conference, the localities suggested the Government, Central Ministries and sectors to temporarily maintain the names and areas of the communes and districts which are subject to merger, which will be supplemented after the competent authority decides to re-organize and merge administrative units; add the projects already approved in terms of investment policies which are under review and adjustment to the Provincial Planning’s list of priority investment projects…
