Bac Ninh wins first prize in classical wrestling at National Wrestling Championship in 2023

Bac Ninh team wins first prize in classical wrestling.

The tournament attracted 300 athletes from 19 clubs from provinces, cities and sectors across the country. Athletes competed in weight classes in the following categories: men's freestyle, women's freestyle and classical wrestling with a total of 33 medal sets.

The Bac Ninh wrestling team included 18 athletes, competing in all 3 events.

At the end of the tournament, in the classical wrestling content, Bac Ninh team won the first prize of the whole delegation, the second prize belonged to the Army delegation and the third prize belonged to the Hanoi delegation. Bac Ninh team won 05 Gold medals, 02 Silver medals, 08 Bronze medals. Specifically, 05 Gold medals belonged to athletes: Nguyen Trong Nam (50kg), Ngo Xuan Muoi (55kg), Vu Dinh Quang (72kg), Tran Hoai Nam (87kg), Do Ngoc Linh (50kg).

In the women's freestyle content, the first prize belonged to Thanh Hoa delegation, the second prize belonged to the Thua Thien Hue delegation, the third prize belonged to the Hanoi delegation. In the men's freestyle event, the first prize went to the Army, the second prize went to the Hanoi delegation and the third prize went to the People's Police.
