Peak Day Volunteers join hands to build new countryside and Green Sunday launched
(BNP) - On the morning of March 17, the Peak Day Volunteers join hands to build new countryside and Green Sunday was launched in Chi Lang commune (Que Vo town). This is the unit directed by the Provincial Youth Union to organize events during Youth Month.
The leaders of the Provincial Youth Union and Que Vo town present gifts to children in difficult circumstances in Chi Lang commune.
At the program, Que Vo Town Youth Union called on Youth Union officials, union members, and youth to participate in specific and practical actions to contribute to build new countryside in the locality. Youth Union at all levels in the area continue to effectively deploy activities to join hands to protect the environment and respond to climate change in association with the movement "Youth Participating in Building New Rural Areas".
Union members and students participate in the program to exchange plastic waste for gifts.
At the program, the Provincial Youth Union and Canon Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Que Vo branch) awarded the project "Lighting up the countryside" to the people of Chi Lang commune, worth VND 30 million. Que Vo Town presented 10 gifts to children in difficult circumstances in Chi Lang commune.
Immediately after the launching ceremony, delegates, union members, and young people participated in the following activities: planting trees; inaugurating the "Youth Tree Row" project; inaugurating the waste classification model at source and applying IMO microbiological treatment technology in residential areas; environmental sanitation; distributing propaganda leaflets on preventing and combating plastic waste at local markets; exchanging plastic waste for gifts.
This is a practical activity to respond to Youth Month 2024 and celebrate the 93rd anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 - 2024); contributing to building new rural areas in the localities, spreading the good impression of youth for the community to a large number of union members, youth and people.
*On the same day, Youth Union at all levels in the province simultaneously organized activities to respond to the peak day of volunteering to join hands to build new rural areas, such as: garbage collection, environmental sanitation, removing garbage advertising signs, clearing drains and clearing bushes; cleaning temples, memorials, stele houses, and martyrs' cemeteries; planting trees; taking care of flower routes; cleaning and sanitizing office and business premises.
