Viettel Bac Ninh celebrates 20 anniversary of its traditional day

Participants at the program were leaders of Viettel Telecommunications Corporation; representatives from departments, branches, sectors, districts, towns and cities; customers, partners and numerous officials and employees of Viettel Bac Ninh.

On March 15, 2004, the Bac Ninh Telecommunications Center (also known as POP Bac Ninh), the predecessor of today's Viettel Bac Ninh, was officially established. From the initial broadcasting stations, up to now Viettel Bac Ninh has 750 2G, 3G, and 4G mobile broadcasting stations. Extensive fiber-optic network infrastructure with more than 6,000 km, spreading Viettel waves throughout the entire province. Viettel's network infrastructure not only serves production and business but also serves the needs of information, communication, national security and defense, thereby, bringing technology and scientific knowledge to all people and businesses in the province.

Viettel Bac Ninh focuses on leading the development of ultra-broadband infrastructure to best meet the needs of the internet of things; applying modern technology such as artificial intelligence (AI), cloud computing, big data., etc., thereby contributing to the successful implementation of the province's digital transformation. Initially, there were only 07 officials and the headquarters had to be rented. Up to now, Vietel Bac Ninh has 380 officials and employees with spacious, modern, and synchronous facilities. In 2023, revenue reached more than VND 1,500 billion; average income reached more than VND 36.7 million/person/month, and the budget contribution was more than VND 35 billion.

On behalf of the provincial leaders, Standing Vice Chairman Vuong Quoc Tuan congratulated the growth of Viettel Bac Ninh after 20 years of construction, development, and positive contributions to the successful implementation of socio-economic development tasks, maintaining the national defense and security of the province.

Tuan hoped that Viettel Bac Ninh would continue to improve creativity and provide solutions to anticipate future digital transformation trends in Bac Ninh.

On this occasion, Viettel Bac Ninh was honored to receive the Flag for leading the emulation movement in 2023 from the Provincial People's Committee; many groups and individuals with outstanding achievements in 2023 and the period 2014 - 2024 were honored to be rewarded by the Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee and the Military Industry and Telecommunications Group (Viettel).
