(BNP) - On the morning of December 11, Ms. Nguyen Huong Giang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee (PPC) received and worked with Mr. Qinying Ji, Vice Chairman of the Board, CEO and GM & Executive Director of China Conch Venture on researching investment in industrial waste treatment and the Group's development orientation in the province.

Sincerely thanking the provincial leaders for their respectful welcome, Mr. Qinying Ji said that China Conch Venture invested in the fields of cement, environmental protection, new construction materials, and new energy, among which, it focused on investing in the field of environmental protection in Vietnam. In Bac Ninh province, the Group has invested in a waste-to-power plant (plant) in Luong Tai district and put it into trial operation on November 20, 2023, he added.
The plant, which is invested by EU-Conch Venture New Energy Company Limited under the Group, started construction in July 2020 with a waste treatment capacity of 300 tons per day and night. The plant has completed all items and started receiving waste in Luong Tai, Yen Phong and Gia Binh districts with an initial volume of 200 tons per day of waste for trial operation. Currently, the amount of waste supplied to the plant has not reached 300 tons per day and night according to its capacity. The Group hoped to receive the attention of provincial leaders and functional departments on this issue.

Mr. Qinying Ji also said that the Group hoped to invest in industrial waste treatment. He asked the provincial leaders to pay attention and create conditions for the Group to survey and find locations so that the Group could invest in an industrial waste treatment project in Bac Ninh.
For her part, Chairwoman Nguyen Huong Giang said that in recent years, Bac Ninh had outstanding and comprehensive development and gained many excellent achievements in all fields. Along with development, Bac Ninh is facing the problem of treating environmental pollution in terms of wastewater, air/gas emissions and solid waste, she stressed. Giang also emphasized that currently, the province has 4 waste-to-power plants; 3/4 of them were put into operation and tested including the plant in Luong Tai district invested by EU-Conch Venture New Energy Company Limited under the Group.

Giang affirmed that the industrial waste treatment was of great interest to the province. Currently, Bac Ninh has 12 industrial parks and 25 industrial clusters operating with 2,100 enterprises, and the volume of normal industrial solid waste generated from these enterprises is more than 1,000 tons/day and night, she highlighted.
With the motto "Bac Ninh always accompanies businesses, the businesses’ success is also the province’s success", the Chairwoman assigned functional departments and branches to accompany, resolve recommendations and support the Group to invest in new fields of industrial waste treatment in the province.
