Bac Ninh deploys task in 2021

In 2020, Bac Ninh’s Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) was estimated at nearly VND 122.7 trillion, up 1.36% compared with previous year, ranking 8th nationwide; per capita income reached VND 79.9 million/year, up 8.1%, ranking 6th. Industrial production value was estimated at VND 1.3 million billion, up 2.19%, maintaining 1^st position in the country. State budget revenue was estimated at VND 30,547 billion, exceeding 4.2% of the estimate, up 0.5% compared to 2019 with domestic revenue estimated at VND 4,169 billion, exceeding 6.2% of the estimate.

Total retail sales of consumer goods and services were estimated at VND62,000 billion; export value was estimated at USD38.9 billion, up 14.3%; import value reached USD33.14 billion, up 18.1%; foreign investment capital increased by USD967 million; domestic investment increased by VND10,660 billion.

Bac Ninh completed the new rural area program with 100% of communes, districts and towns meeting the new rural standards. The cause of education and training has been enhanced; vocational training, job creation, social security and welfare were attached great importance at the higher level than other provinces/cities in the country; the poverty rate decreased to 1.04%.

The administrative reform has been strengthened. Provincial competitiveness index ranked fourth nationwide (up 11 places); readiness index for application and development of information and communications technology ranked 6^th (up 5 places). Information technology application index ranked the 17^th (up 8 places); online public services at level 3 and level 4 respectively reached 38.6% and 35.6%.

In 2021, the Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Huong Giang called on all levels, branches, agencies, units, businesses, officials, party members, armed forces, strata of people to promote the tradition of solidarity so as to overcome all difficulties and challenges, take advantage of opportunities for completing all set objectives and tasks.

Delivering the speech at the Conference, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Dao Hong Lan praised the outstanding achievements of the Party committees, authorities, Fatherland Front and mass organizations, collectives, individuals, business community and strata of people, making significant contribution to the development of the province in 2020.

She asked for their continued efforts to fulfill the goals and tasks set out for 2021 and the term 2020 - 2025, thus making Bac Ninh becomes a centrally-run city in the direction of civilization and modernization.

At the conference, the Provincial Party Standing Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to the Party Committees of Bac Ninh city, Yen Phong district and the Provincial Public Security. the Provincial People's Committee awarded Emulation Flag to collectives with achievements in emulation movements.
