Provincial People’s Committee evaluates and classifies OCOP products in phase 2 of 2024
(BNP) - On December 20, the Provincial People’s Committee held a conference to evaluate and classify OCOP products in phase 2 of 2024. Mr. Le Xuan Loi, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, Chairman of the Provincial OCOP Product Evaluation and Classification Council (Council) chaired the conference.

In the second phase of 2024, the Council received 28 product applications for consideration and recognition of OCOP status from 07 entities, belonging to the food and beverage group, medicinal herbs and medicinal products group, and household and decorative handicrafts group. Of which, 25 products were evaluated for the first time and 3 products were upgraded from 3 stars to 4 stars.

Typical products include pickled shallots, eggplants with fish sauce, and Agritec pickled cucumbers (Agritec Joint Stock Company, My Huong commune, Luong Tai district); loofah bath sponges, loofah shoe insoles, and loofah dishwashing sponges (Anh Duong Kinh Bac Trading and Service Company Limited, Nguyet Duc commune, Thuan Thanh town); grapefruit and ginger tea, sprouted rice, and black garlic shampoo (Nano Care R&D Company Limited, Xuan Lai commune, Gia Binh district); Kazen-Life nutritional drinks, Curcumin UKOL (Fujiko Vietnam Medicinal Materials Company Limited, Phong Khe ward, Bac Ninh city)...
As a result, 28 out of 28 products were evaluated and classified by the Council as 4 stars.

Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman Le Xuan Loi congratulated the entities recognized as OCOP products in the second phase of 2024. At the same time, he requested the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to complete the dossier and submit it to the Provincial People’s Committee for recognition in the coming time, ensuring strictness and compliance with regulations.
Loi also requested that after being recognized, the entities would continue to improve the quality and design of their products. In particular, they should pay attention to ensuring food safety, environmental sanitation, and digitalizing products to maintain production, expand scale and market, and be accepted by consumers, thereby, improving economic efficiency and creating more jobs for local workers, he stressed.
