Tourism revenue decreases 20% in first 6 months of 2021

(BNP) - Due to the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic, in the first 6 months of 2021, the province’s tourism activities faced many difficulties; many tours, routes, rooms of travel companies, hotels are canceled.

In the first 6 months of the year, the number of visitors to Bac Ninh was estimated at 238 thousand visitors, down 27% over the same period in 2020; tourism revenue was estimated at VND 198 billion, down 20% over the same period. 663 organizations and individuals participated in tourism business, down 17 units; 629 accommodation establishments, down 19 establishments over the same period.

Facing the above situation, the Culture, Sports and Tourism sectors has been taken measures to epidemic control to ensure absolute safety for people and visitors Accommodation service businesses registered and deployed the application of "Safe Vietnam tourism";

Along with that, actively made plans for recovering tourism after the Covid-19 epidemic. On the other hand, the sector focused on building an action program of “The overall tourism development strategy of Bac Ninh province in the period of 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050”; a draft project "Promoting cultural heritage values associated with tourism development in the province”.
