(BNP) - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ngo Tan Phuong recently signed a Decision approving the investment plan for the construction of Ha Bac 1 Bridge across the Cau River and the Provincial Road (PR) 295C access road to the Lac Long Quan intersection in Bac Ninh province, with a total investment of nearly VND 2,800 billion.

According to the Decision, the project aims to complete the approved transportation network plan; meet the travel needs of the people; strengthen connectivity between urban areas, industrial zones, and key transportation routes of the province. At the same time, it contributes to completing the infrastructure system, promoting investment attraction, sustainable socio-economic development, and linking economic development with national defense and security.
The project is being implemented in Kinh Bac and Van Ha wards with a total length of approximately 2,950m. This includes the Ha Bac 1 Bridge, approximately 1,063.6m long, and approach roads at both ends, approximately 1,886.4m long. The starting point is at the roundabout intersection in front of the Press Center in Kinh Bac ward; the end point is at the end of the retaining wall behind abutment M2, connecting to the DT.298B road (the road connecting Ring Road 4 with Ha Bac 1 Bridge), in Van Ha ward.
The Ha Bac 1 Bridge project is being developed with a cross-section of 33.5m, including 6 lanes for motorized vehicles, 2 lanes for mixed traffic, along with a synchronized system of median strips, safety barriers, and railings. The approach road on the Kinh Bac ward side has a roadbed width of 48.5m. The service roads on both sides of the bridge and the approach bridges at both ends (Kinh Bac Ward and Van Ha Ward) are being invested in according to the plan to ensure synchronized operation and convenient traffic connectivity.
The project belongs to Group B, with a total investment of VND 2,799.106 billion, using provincial budget funds. The land area used is approximately 14.97 hectares, with implementation time from 2026 to 2029, of which 2026 is the investment preparation phase.
The Provincial People's Committee assigns the Bac Ninh Provincial Transport and Agriculture Project Management Board No. 2 to preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies to organize the architectural design competition and finalize the feasibility study report for submission to the competent authority for investment decision according to regulations. The People's Committees of Kinh Bac and Van Ha Wards will implement compensation, support, resettlement, and land clearance work in accordance with the law.
