(BNP) - On the morning of June 24th, a delegation led by Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee (PPC) Nguyen Hong Thai surveyed and inspected the implementation of energy and technical infrastructure projects at several key industrial parks.
Joining the delegation were Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Van Thinh; representatives from relevant departments, agencies, units, localities, and businesses.
During the working session, the delegation inspected the An Khanh - Bac Giang Thermal Power Plant Project (Cam Ly commune); the technical infrastructure of Tan Hung Industrial Park (Lang Giang commune), Van Trung - Tang Tien Industrial Park (Nenh ward), and the system of transformer substations supplying electricity to Amkor Technology Vietnam Co., Ltd. at Yen Phong II-C Industrial Park (Yen Phong commune).

Accelerating the progress of large-scale energy projects
During the inspection of the An Khanh Thermal Power Plant Project in Bac Giang, representatives from An Khanh Thermal Power Joint Stock Company stated that this is a key energy project with a capacity of 650 MW and a total investment of over VND 27.5 trillion. To date, the project has completed the lease of 30.61 hectares for the main plant area, implemented some procedures related to land, planning, environment, and construction of auxiliary items.
According to the adjusted plan, the project is expected to complete land lease procedures in October 2027 and begin commercial power generation in June 2029. The enterprise requested the Provincial People's Committee to propose to the Ministry of Industry and Trade to adjust the project's operating time in the revised Power Plan VIII to suit the actual implementation; Simultaneously, the provincial leaders directed relevant departments, agencies, and localities to support and expedite planning, land acquisition, compensation, and site clearance.

Affirming the effectiveness of attracting investment in industrial park infrastructure
During a survey of Tan Hung Industrial Park and Van Trung–Tang Tien Industrial Park, provincial leaders highly commended infrastructure investors for their efforts in developing technical infrastructure, improving the landscape, and ensuring environmental protection.
Industrial development planning is being vigorously implemented across the province. To date, 43 of the planned 52 industrial parks, covering a total area of approximately 13,000 hectares, have received planning approval. These industrial parks have attracted 2,294 active secondary investment projects with total registered capital equivalent to about USD 50.4 billion. The projects are currently providing employment for more than 629,000 workers, with an average monthly income of around VND 10 million.

Besides the advantages, at the meeting, businesses and secondary investors proposed solutions to the provincial leaders to remove obstacles related to administrative procedures when adjusting planning, expanding production, and especially ensuring the stability and quality of the power grid system serving high-tech industrial production.
In addition, the delegation also inspected the transformer substation system supplying power to Amkor Technology Vietnam factory at Yen Phong II-C Industrial Park. This is a high-tech energy distribution infrastructure complex, operating a fixed backup ATS, ensuring continuous and high-quality power supply for large technology corporations.

Commitment to accompanying and thoroughly resolving obstacles
Speaking at the inspection, Secretary Nguyen Hong Thai affirmed that the province consistently maintains the view of accompanying, supporting, and creating the most favorable conditions for businesses and investors to build technical infrastructure and expand production and business. He requested relevant departments, agencies, and localities to closely coordinate with infrastructure investors to expedite merger procedures, expand planning, and improve the efficiency of industrial occupancy.

Regarding the difficulties arising at the An Khanh Thermal Power Project, the Secretary directed relevant departments, agencies, and localities to proactively coordinate closely with the enterprise to promptly resolve obstacles and provide maximum support to the enterprise during the project implementation. He also requested that communication and public outreach efforts be intensified, including direct dialogues with local residents to enhance understanding and build consensus among communities in the project area. The Secretary emphasized that the project plays an important role in ensuring a stable and self-sufficient energy supply, thereby supporting the province’s long-term socio-economic development objectives.
