(BNP) - According to the Department of Science and Technology, to date, 100% of agencies, units, and localities in the province have been connected to internal networks and high-speed broadband internet, meeting the requirements for exploiting common software, specialized software, and performing professional tasks.
The information technology infrastructure at agencies, units, and localities basically meets the requirements for implementing digital transformation.
Currently, the dedicated data transmission network has been deployed with 254 connection channels to departments, agencies, commune-level People's Committees, commune-level Public Administrative Service Centers, and the Police force, ensuring the service of direction, management, exchange of electronic documents, confidential documents, and the effective exploitation of information systems, databases, and the province's common digital platforms.
In addition, the deployment of personal digital signatures continues to be promoted. The entire province has issued 21,271 digital certificates for official use, contributing to improved efficiency in processing electronic documents and files, enhancing the application of information technology, and promoting digital transformation in the operations of state agencies.
Through a review, the province currently has 10,726 computers for professional work; there is a need to register 9,686 Windows operating system licenses and 9,762 word processing software licenses. In addition, agencies, units, and localities are using 4,150 printers, scanners, and other equipment for processing work in a digital environment.
Overall, the information technology infrastructure at agencies, units, and localities basically meets the requirements for implementing digital transformation. However, some equipment still does not meet the minimum required specifications and needs to be upgraded, replaced, or supplemented to ensure the stable operation of information systems, digital platforms, and work processing in the electronic environment.
Regarding human resources, 100% of agencies, units, and localities have assigned focal points to implement tasks related to science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation. Specifically, at the provincial level, 11 out of 14 agencies and units have assigned dedicated staff (78.6%); at the commune level, 52 out of 99 communes and wards have assigned dedicated staff (52.5%). However, the proportion of staff with dual responsibilities at the commune level remains at 47.5%, while the workload related to digital transformation, information system management, databases, and information security is increasing, requiring further organizational restructuring, human resource allocation, and capacity building in the future.
