(BNP) – Vice Chairman of the Bac Ninh Provincial People’s Committee Pham Van Thinh has signed Decision No. 905/QD-UBND approving the investment policy for the Da Ong and Cau Re Reservoir Solar Power Project, with the investor to be selected through a competitive bidding process in accordance with the Law on Bidding.

The project aims to generate electricity from renewable energy sources while contributing to power transmission and distribution, supporting the development of clean energy, meeting growing electricity demand, and advancing the province’s sustainable energy development strategy.
Under the Decision, the project will have a designed capacity of 50 MW, integrated with a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) with a capacity of 5 MW/10 MWh. The project will cover approximately 54.95 hectares, including 3.75 hectares of land and 51.20 hectares of water surface located in Tam Tien and Yen The communes.
Major components of the project include a photovoltaic (PV) solar power generation system, a battery energy storage system, a 22/110 kV transformer substation, grid connection transmission lines, an operation and management building, and other supporting technical infrastructure.
The project has a total investment of more than VND 870 billion and an operational term of 50 years from the date the State grants the land lease and approves the land-use purpose conversion. Construction is scheduled to commence within one month after the land lease is granted, with completion and commercial operation expected within six months thereafter.
The Provincial People’s Committee has assigned the People’s Committees of Tam Tien and Yen The communes, together with relevant departments and agencies, to exercise state management functions and provide guidance and supervision throughout the project implementation in accordance with applicable regulations. The Bac Ninh No. 1 Transport and Agriculture Project Management Board has been tasked with publicly announcing the project information and carrying out investor selection procedures in compliance with the Law on Bidding.
