Bac Ninh province summarizes program to support Vietnamese Businesses for 2020-2025

(BNP) - On the morning of July 2nd, the People's Committee of Bac Ninh Province, in coordination with the Ministry of Industry and Trade and Samsung Electronics Vietnam Co., Ltd., held a conference to summarize the Program to Support Vietnamese Businesses 2020-2025; signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for cooperation in the 2026-2030 period; and launched the Business Support Program for 2026.

Implemented since 2020, the program has focused on improving the competitiveness of supporting industry enterprises through production improvement consulting and supplier development. Over the past five years, it has supported seven enterprises in production process improvement and delivered 19 smart factory consulting projects for 16 companies, helping enhance management capacity, accelerate digital transformation, improve productivity and product quality, and enable more Bac Ninh enterprises to integrate into Samsung's global supply chain.

During the 2026–2030 period, Bac Ninh will continue working with the Ministry of Industry and Trade and Samsung Electronics Vietnam to implement the Smart Factory Program while launching the Smart Mold consulting initiative to strengthen enterprises' mold design and manufacturing capabilities.

Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Van Thinh emphasized that the program has laid a solid foundation for local enterprises to meet international standards, enabling them not only to join Samsung's supply chain but also to expand cooperation with other multinational corporations. He affirmed that the province will continue improving industrial park infrastructure, allocating suitable land for supporting industry enterprises, and called on Samsung to further support workforce training, management know-how transfer, and supplier development.

Representing the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Quach Quang Dong, Deputy Director General of the Agency for Industry, said that between 2020 and 2025, the Ministry and Samsung jointly provided production improvement consulting to 379 enterprises, trained 406 manufacturing improvement specialists and 209 mold experts, and implemented the Smart Factory Program for 82 enterprises nationwide. Bac Ninh is the second locality, after Hai Phong, to proactively implement the program.

At the conference, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee, and Samsung Electronics Vietnam signed an MOU on implementing the Vietnam Enterprise Support Program for the 2026–2030 period. On this occasion, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee presented Certificates of Merit to two organizations and five individuals for their outstanding contributions, while cooperation agreements were also awarded to nine enterprises participating in the 2026 support program.
