(BNP) - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Van Thinh has just signed Decision No. 904/QD-UBND adjusting a number of contents of the Social Housing Project at Residential Area No. 3, Northern Area under the Southwest Urban Area, Bac Giang City.

According to the decision, the project is implemented on an area of about 0.7 hectares in Da Mai ward, with Lam Son Construction and Trading Company Limited as the investor. The construction consists of 19 above-ground floors and 1 basement, with a total construction land area of about 2,800 m² and an expected total floor area of nearly 59,500 m².
The project is expected to provide about 490 social housing apartments, ranging from 25 to 77m² in size. The basement is designated for parking and technical facilities; from the 1st to the 3rd floor, space is allocated for commerce, services, community activities, and shared amenities; from the 4th to the 19th floor are the residential apartments.
Along with the housing block, the project will invest synchronously in an internal yard and road system, green landscape, electricity supply, water supply, drainage, fire prevention and fighting, and telecommunications, contributing to forming a synchronous living space that meets the needs of residents and workers in the area.
The total expected investment capital of the project is over 805.886 billion VND, of which equity capital is 165 billion VND, while loans and other legally mobilized sources account for more than 640.886 billion VND. The above capital amount is the preliminary total project implementation cost, excluding land use fees and land rental fees.
The Provincial People's Committee assigns the Departments of: Construction, Finance, Agriculture and Environment; the People's Committee of Da Mai ward and relevant agencies and units to manage and guide the project implementation in accordance with regulations. Lam Son Construction and Trading Company Limited is responsible for implementing the project according to the approved contents, ensuring compliance with the laws on investment, construction, land, and housing.
The adjustment of the project is a concrete step to realize the policy of accelerating the development of social housing, expanding housing opportunities for workers, laborers, and low-income groups. In 2026, Bac Ninh aims to complete over 20,000 social housing units, higher than the target of about 19,000 units assigned by the Central Government. By 2030, the province strives to develop about 135,002 social housing units, including about 10,000 rental units and worker accommodations./.
