(BNP) - On the afternoon of August 25, the Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee held a conference to summarize the production and consumption of lychee in 2025; deploy directions and tasks for 2026 at the Provincial Convention Center.

Attending the conference were Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Thi Lam Thanh; Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Van Thinh; leaders of departments, branches, localities, relevant enterprises and cooperatives.
The whole province maintains an area of 29,700 hectares, with a consumption output of over 205,400 tons - the highest ever. Of which, domestic consumption is about 127,200 tons (accounting for 62%), and exports are about 78,200 tons. In particular, the product has made important progress when successfully exporting nearly 430 tons of official channels to high-end markets such as the US, Canada, Japan, EU, Australia, and is sold in large supermarket chains such as Safeway, Albertsons, Costco, Selgros, Rungis International Market (France) ...
The price of lychees produced according to VietGAP, GlobalGAP, and organic standards is stable at 25,000 - 35,000 VND/kg; in high-end markets, it fluctuates between 220,000 - 550,000 VND/kg and is positively received by international consumers. Total revenue from lychees and ancillary services reached over VND 6,245 billion, of which revenue from lychees was about VND 3,719 billion, the rest was from transportation, preservation, experiential tourism, beekeeping, etc.
In 2025, Bac Ninh province synchronously deployed many promotion solutions, connect consumption, harmoniously combine traditional and modern methods. Along with that, many growing localities proactively organized promotional events associated with eco-tourism development, forming lychee season experience tours, contributing to enhancing the value and affirming the Bac Ninh lychee brand.

At the conference, delegates focused on discussing and analyzing in depth the current situation of lychee production, consumption and export in 2025, and proposed many practical solutions to improve efficiency in the following years.
