Production value of agriculture, forestry and fishery estimated at nearly VND 4,700 billion

(BNP) - In the first 6 months of 2020, the production value of agriculture, forestry and fishery was estimated at nearly VND 4,700 billion (at 2010 constant price), reaching 53.9% of the year plan and equaling 97.4% compared to with the same period in 2019.

In particular, the cultivated area of spring crop is more than 32,000 ha with a rice yield of 65 quintals/ha (an increase of 1.7 quintals/ha over the same period), paddy output is estimated at more than 208,000 thousand tons. The province cultivated 10,499.8 hectares of vegetables, reaching 76.7% of the year plan.

The total number of pigs was estimated at 272,500 pigs, reaching 77.9% of the plan, a year-on-year increase of 25.3%. Poultry was estimated at over 5 million ones. The number of buffaloes and cows was estimated at over 30,000 ones.

Aquaculture area was estimated at 5,150 ha, reaching 100% of the yearly plan; the number of cages in the river was estimated at 2,060 cages, increasing 50 cages over the same period. The total production of fishery was estimated at 19,103 tons, equaling 100.8% over the same period.

The province planted over 105,800 dispersed plants of all kinds, reaching 79.7% of the year plan; 348.7 ha of existing forests were protected.
