Opening the 2019 PV GAS National Volleyball Championship

Leaders of the province and General Department of Physical Training and Sports give honorable flags to teams.

Attending the opening ceremony were comrades: Nguyen Nhan Chien, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies; Nguyen Van Phong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Tran Duc Phan, Deputy General Director of the General Department of Physical Training and Sports (under Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism); Le Tri Truong, Secretary General of Vietnam Volleyball Federation, Head of the Organizing Committee; leaders of provincial departments.

The 2019 PV GAS National Championship Volleyball Championship has the participation of 20 teams consisting of 10 men's teams and 10 women's teams, divided into two tables A and B and played 3 rounds. The 1^st Round is taken place from April 3-7 in Bac Ninh (Table A) and Ninh Binh (Table B). In particular, Table A has the participation of 10 teams including 5 men's teams: Bien phong, Ho Chi Minh City, Sanest Khanh Hoa, Ha Tinh, Vinh Long Lottery; 5 women's teams: Kinh Bac - Bac Ninh, VTV Binh Dien Long An, Industrial and Commercial Bank, Mikado Thai Binh, Duc Giang Chemical Hanoi.

At the end of the first round, teams capture the first and second place of both men and women will win the right to participate in Hung Vuong Cup taken place from April 11-14 in Phu Tho province. The 2^nd Round and the Finals are expected to kick off from October 6-20 in Long An.

The annual organization of the tournament is to assess the qualifications, train, ng and coaching of teams and clubs, and to select outstanding faces for the national volleyball team to compete in international tournaments, especially the 30^th SEA Games held in the Philippines in November 2019.

The coordination of Bac Ninh to host the 2019 PV GAS National Volleyball Championship is a condition and opportunity to introduce and promote the socio-economic potential and image of Bac Ninh people and culture to a large number of friends, tourists at home and abroad. For Kinh Bac women's volleyball team, this is the first year to compete in the National Volleyball Championship, so the tournament will be an opportunity for the team to study, practice and experience with strong teams throughout the country.

After the Opening ceremony, the Kinh Bac host team faced off against Mikado Thai Binh and quickly won with a score of 3 - 0.

Earlier, VTV Binh Dien Long An team had a 3-0 victory over Duc Giang Chemical in Hanoi; Ho Chi Minh City beat Bien Phong with the score 3-1; Lottery of Vinh Long lost to Sanest Khanh Hoa with the score of 1 - 3./.
