(BNP) - On December 19, in Phu Lang Commune, Bac Ninh Province, Pham Thi Thanh Tra, Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Prime Minister, attended and conducted the ground-breaking ceremony for the Investment Project on the Development of Infrastructure of the Que Vo II Industrial Park – Phase 2.

This is one of 11 main connection points directly linked to the central point and 67 online connection points for the groundbreaking, inauguration, and technical opening ceremonies of projects and works celebrating the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
Attending the groundbreaking ceremony Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Hoang Son; Standing Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council Tran Thi Hang; Secretary of the Party Committee of Kinh Bac Ward Ta Dang Doan; leaders from central ministries and agencies; and leaders of departments, agencies, and localities in the province.

The Investment Project on the Development of Infrastructure of the Que Vo II Industrial Park – Phase 2 is invested by Nhan Dat Tien Limited Liability Company, and was approved by the Prime Minister under Decision No. 640/QD-TTg dated May 4, 2021. The project has a scale of more than 277 ha in Phu Lang Commune, Bac Ninh Province, with a total investment of nearly VND 3,000 billion. It is expected that by June 2026, the investor will hand over land to secondary investors.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman Pham Hoang Son emphasized that with favorable geo-economic positioning and increasingly synchronous and modern inter-regional transport infrastructure, located within the “production–technology belt” surrounding the Capital Ha Noi, Bac Ninh is becoming one of the localities with a high level of integration into global technology supply chains in the ASEAN region. It is not only an attractive destination for global corporations in the electronics and semiconductor sectors but also an important regional linkage node.
The Chairman said that the province currently has 43 out of 52 industrial parks approved under planning, with a total area of more than 13,000ha.

Of these, 36 industrial parks covering approximately 10,500ha have been approved in principle for investment, while leased industrial and administrative and service land has reached 4,087ha out of 7,425ha, equivalent to 55%.
In addition, 64 out of 96 industrial clusters in the province have been fully funded and are operational, covering an area of over 2,000ha with an average occupancy rate of 73.34 per cent, Son added.
Industrial parks and clusters have created jobs for more than 750,000 workers, making an important contribution to economic growth and social welfare, according to the chairman.
