(BNP) - In the first six months of 2026, the labor market in Bac Ninh province continued its positive recovery and development. The province created jobs for over 27,000 workers, while also strengthening the connection between labor supply and demand, supporting businesses in recruitment, and contributing to meeting production and business needs and ensuring social security.

In the first six months of 2026, Bac Ninh province creates jobs for 27,027 workers, reaching 51.97% of the annual plan.

According to the report of the Department of Internal Affairs, in the first six months of 2026, the province's socio-economic development continued, many investment projects were implemented, businesses expanded production, creating new jobs for workers. The labor force in the locality and neighboring provinces basically met the needs of businesses. The province has created jobs for 27,027 workers, achieving 51.97% of the annual plan. Of these, 1,080 jobs were created through employment loan programs; and 1,936 workers went to work abroad under contract. The Department of Internal Affairs, in coordination with the Social Policy Bank, supported loans for 884 projects, contributing to job creation, maintenance and expansion, promoting socio-economic development, and ensuring social security in the province.

Currently, the province has over 28,000 operating businesses with approximately 865,000 workers, of which about 629,000 work in industrial zones; workers from other provinces account for 46.1% of the total workforce in businesses. The quality of human resources continues to improve, and workers are gradually developing an industrial work ethic, meeting the requirements of modern production lines.

To meet the needs of expanding production in 2026, businesses in the province need to recruit approximately 231,000 workers, mainly in the manufacturing, electronic component assembly, and garment industries. In the first six months of the year, businesses have recruited over 60,000 new workers. The Department of Internal Affairs has proactively surveyed recruitment needs, coordinating with localities, universities, colleges, and employment service units nationwide to strengthen the connection between labor supply and demand and support businesses in effective recruitment.

Simultaneously, job counseling and placement services continue to be promoted. By the end of June 2026, the Provincial Employment Service Center had organized 42 job fairs, attracting over 15,000 job seekers; and organized 3 job fairs with the participation of 38 businesses and over 3,000 workers and students. The province also implemented activities to promote and attract labor in Son La province and coordinated the organization of a workshop on improving labor productivity associated with the development of a modern and efficient labor market.

Along with strengthening the application of technology in job matching, the Department of Internal Affairs has coordinated the dissemination of information and guidance to businesses on posting recruitment information on the National Job Exchange. To date, Bac Ninh ranks 4th nationwide in the number of recruitment information posted on the exchange.

Besides the achievements, the labor market still faces some difficulties such as localized labor shortages in some labor-intensive businesses; high labor turnover, with a fluctuation rate of about 30-40% in some large enterprises. The main reasons are increased recruitment demand based on orders, disparities in wage and benefit policies, and competitive recruitment through high bonus policies among businesses.
