(BNP) - On the afternoon of June 19th, the Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee held a signing ceremony for a cooperation agreement with MobiFone Telecommunications Corporation on the development of science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation for the period 2026-2030. This is a strategic step to concretize Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo, creating a strong impetus for Bac Ninh to break through and become a leading industrial, high-tech, and digital economy center in the Northern region.

Attending the signing ceremony were Mr. Pham Hoang Son, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Pham Van Thinh, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Ngo Tan Phuong and Mr. Phan The Tuan, Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee; and representatives from relevant departments, agencies, and units. Representing MobiFone were Major General Truong Son Lam, Chairman of MobiFone Telecommunications Corporation, and members of the delegation.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Chairman Pham Hoang Son emphasized that the signing of the cooperation agreement is a practical activity to concretize Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo, and also marks a new step in the cooperative relationship between Bac Ninh province and MobiFone Telecommunications Corporation.

Regarding information on the socio-economic development and implementation results of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW in the province, the comrade stated that Bac Ninh is currently one of the country's leading industrial and high-tech centers with an economic scale of approximately USD 21 billion and the highest import-export turnover nationwide. The province ranks second nationwide in the rate of on-time completion of tasks assigned by the Central Government through the Resolution No. 57 monitoring system. Bac Ninh’s Provincial Innovation Index (PII) rose by five places, ranking sixth among the country’s 34 provinces and centrally governed cities, while the province continues to lead the nation in indicators measuring services provided to citizens and businesses. In digital transformation, Bac Ninh has exceeded its 5G coverage target, completed the cleaning and synchronization of local data with the national population database, and achieved a digital economy share equivalent to 46.3% of GRDP—the highest proportion nationwide.

To ensure the effectiveness of the cooperation, the Chairman requested MobiFone to focus on supporting Bac Ninh in developing digital infrastructure, smart cities, and building a digital government; promoting digitalization, data storage and exploitation; applying technology in the management of cultural and historical relics; promoting the development of the digital economy, e-commerce, low-income economy, and piloting digital finance models. Bac Ninh also hopes to continue receiving support in training and developing digital human resources for officials, civil servants, and the community.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Truong Son Lam highly appreciated Bac Ninh's outstanding achievements in economic development, investment attraction, and digital transformation. He stated that, with over 30 years of development, MobiFone now not only provides telecommunications services but also participates in the national digital transformation, serving national defense and security. The company focuses on developing four pillars: next-generation telecommunications infrastructure; digital government and digital administration solutions; technology serving national defense and security; and digital financial services.
Recognizing Bac Ninh as a key locality for high-tech industries with great potential for comprehensive digital transformation, the Chairman of MobiFone Corporation requested MobiFone Bac Ninh to urgently develop a plan to implement the signed cooperation agreements, ensuring effectiveness and substance. He also committed to mobilizing maximum technological resources and high-quality human resources, and closely coordinating with the province in carrying out digital transformation tasks.

At the ceremony, Vice Chairman Pham Van Thinh and Major General Truong Son Lam, Chairman of MobiFone Telecommunications Corporation, signed a cooperation agreement to implement Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW for the period 2026-2030.
According to the agreement, the two sides will strengthen coordination in the following areas: Development of science, technology and innovation; research and application of strategic technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), big data, and the Internet of Things (IoT); development of digital infrastructure, telecommunications and data infrastructure; building digital government and digital data; promoting the development of the digital economy and digital society; ensuring information security and cybersecurity; developing digital human resources; implementing Project 06 and other national programs and projects on digital transformation.

The signing of the cooperation agreement is expected to create new momentum to promote the development of science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation in the province, contributing to building Bac Ninh into a leading locality nationwide in digital transformation, digital economy, and digital society in the coming period.
