(BNP) - The Bac Ninh Provincial Public Security has just issued Plan No. 4671/KH-CAT-ANM to implement the Program "Protecting and Supporting Children's Development in the Online Environment 2026-2030" in the province to strengthen measures to protect children from risks in cyberspace, creating a safe and healthy online environment for children's comprehensive development.
The plan aims to promote the dissemination of knowledge and skills to help children, parents, and teachers identify and prevent risks and acts of child abuse in cyberspace.
According to the plan, the Provincial Public Security will focus on advising the Provincial People's Committee to direct the synchronized and effective implementation of tasks according to Decision No. 468/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister; Strengthen coordination with departments, agencies, organizations, businesses, media outlets, schools, and the community in protecting and supporting children in the online environment. Simultaneously, promote the dissemination of knowledge and skills to help children, parents, and teachers identify and prevent risks and acts of child abuse in cyberspace; effectively utilize the "Digital Trust" Club and the "Not Alone" Program with themes appropriate each year.
Specialized cybersecurity forces and operational units will strengthen their monitoring, proactively detect, prevent, and strictly handle acts of exploiting the online environment to abuse children; promptly receive and resolve reports and denunciations of crimes; organize verification, investigation, and tracking of violators, protect victims, and closely coordinate with prosecuting agencies to strictly handle cases according to the law.
The Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention Department of the Provincial Public Security will be the lead agency in implementing the Plan; establishing a network of permanent contact points in 100% of professional departments and commune-level police stations to receive and handle cases related to children in the online environment. In addition, police units and localities will strengthen territorial management, promote propaganda on social media platforms, websites, and local fanpages; proactively coordinate in verifying and handling cases, and prevent harmful information affecting children.
Police units and localities are responsible for developing implementation plans in accordance with their functions and duties; periodically reporting the results of implementation annually to the Provincial Public Security for compilation, evaluation, preliminary review, and final summary of the Program for the period 2026-2030.
