In the first six months of 2026, the health sector achieved many positive results in administrative reform and digital transformation. All 4,366 administrative procedures were received online, with 88% resolved on time or ahead of schedule, and the satisfaction level of citizens and businesses reached 100%. 100% of public and private hospitals implemented electronic medical records; the use of chip-embedded citizen identification cards and VNeID in health insurance examinations and treatments was effectively maintained; and cashless payments accounted for 66.5% of transactions. The health sector is also building a health database and an intelligent health operations center (IOC).
The free health check-up and screening program continues to be widely implemented. By June 25, 2026, the province had over 1.8 million people examined, reaching 52.2% of the plan; over 1.02 million people had their electronic health records updated. Disease prevention and control work is well managed, and many advanced techniques have been implemented in hospitals, contributing to improved quality of medical examination and treatment and reducing referrals to higher-level facilities.
In 2027, the health sector aims for over 98.5% of the population to participate in health insurance; 100% of the population to receive free health check-ups or screenings and have electronic health records created. At the same time, we will continue to promote digital transformation, improve the quality of medical examination and treatment, develop grassroots healthcare, invest in human resources, infrastructure and modern equipment, contributing to improving the quality of healthcare for the people and achieving the socio-economic development goals of the province.
