Bac Ninh responds to 2026 Anti-Drug Action Month

(BNP) - On the morning of June 27th, the Ministry of Public Security, in coordination with the Hanoi People's Committee, organized a rally to respond to the 2026 Anti-Drug Action Month. The program was held online simultaneously nationwide.

Delegates perform a ceremony to commemorate the officers and soldiers of the functional forces and citizens who sacrificed their lives in the fight against drug crimes.

Attending at the Bac Ninh’s venue were Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Van Thinh; Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nghiem Xuan Huong; leaders of the Provincial Public Security, provincial departments and agencies, and nearly 1,000 officers, soldiers, youth union members, and citizens. Parallel to the provincial event at the Provincial Conference Center and 3/2 Square, Bac Giang Ward, the remaining 98 communes and wards each mobilized approximately 500 or more people to participate in the activities.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra affirmed that the Party and State are determined to fight drug crimes, while emphasizing humanity and mobilizing the strength of the entire society to build a drug-free living environment.

The Deputy Prime Minister commended the Public Security, Border Guard, and other functional forces for their efforts in combating drug trafficking. She also acknowledged the active participation of ministries, sectors, localities, and the people in carrying out this task.

The Deputy Prime Minister called on the people, all levels and sectors, the Vietnam Fatherland Front, political and social organizations, the business community, and especially the young generation of Vietnam to share the same determination, responsibility, and action so that each commune, ward, and special zone truly becomes a place where people can live in peace, children can grow up in a safe environment, each family can preserve happiness, and peace becomes a solid foundation for the development of the country.

This year's run attracts participants of all ages, from students to the elderly.

The mass run attracted over 800 amateur athletes. The running route was set around the 03/2 Square and major roads such as Hung Vuong Street and Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Street... At the end of the competition, the Organizing Committee awarded 1st prize, 2nd prize, 3rd prize, and 2 consolation prizes to the athletes with outstanding achievements.
