360 students are received scholarships of ELIS Center
(BNP) - On March 14th, Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs (DOLISA) in collaboration with the ELIS Center awarded scholarships to excellent students of three vocational schools in the province.

Attending the scholarship awarding ceremony were Mr. Nguyen Van Phong, Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Carlo Cibo, Senior Project Coordinator of ELIS Project in Vietnam.
The ELIS is an Italian non-profit education organization operated in Vietnam for 15 years. In 2016, the project of "Strengthening employment opportunities for youths through school-enterprise linkage" was implemented in Bac Ninh on the basis of agreement between ELIS and DOLISA. It aims to reduce unemployment or underemployment among youths in the province through the development of a school-business linkage model, focusing on dual training and towards appreciation between supply and demand in vocational training and local employment.
Over the past years, DOLISA actively carried out the project in accordance with the purpose, target and commitment to donors, and at the same time was received aid and support training by vocational training institutions. Within the scope of educational support activities, the project will select excellent students to award scholarships in three vocational schools including Bac Ninh College of Industry; Bac Ninh Mechanical and Electrical College; Vocational Training and Rehabilitation Center for the disabled of the province.
At the ceremony, the ELIS Center awarded 360 scholarships to outstanding students of 03 schools with a total amount of 18,000 euros (worth over 500 million VND).
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Phong, Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee, highly appreciated the positive results that the project has brought to students in the province in recent years, contributing to helping timely students of 03 vocational schools.
In the coming time, the Vice Chairman asked the DOLISA to work closely with the ELIS to continue implementing the project with the highest efficiency. At the same time, the Center needs to continue to pay attention to creating jobs for students of vocational schools, reducing unemployment in the province, contributing to ensuring social security.
