Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee greets and works with specialist from the World Federation of Societies of Anesthesiologists
In the afternoon of March 7th 2018, Mr. Nguyen Tu Quynh, Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee, greeted and worked with Mr. Roger Jame Eltringham, Former President of the World Federation of Societies of Anesthesiologists to introduce the system of producing Oxygen by solar energy and some updating information on Anesthesiology. Attending the meeting were representatives of the Department of Health, the Department of Foreign Affairs, and the Provincial People’s Committee Office.

At the meeting, Mr. Roger Jame Eltringham introduced some basics of Anesthesiology, as well as the project of producing Oxygen by solar energy to the Chairman. He also expressed his intention to sponsor the system of producing Oxygen by solar energy to Bac Ninh, which is one of major projects of the World Federation of Societies of Anesthesiologists over the years. Through various surveys in many countries, it was deemed that with its current environment and climate, Vietnam is very suitable for applying this technology, and Que Vo district’s General Hospital had been chosen to be a part of the project. The success of the project will be a base for worldwide application.
On behalf of provincial leaders, Chairman Nguyen Tu Quynh warmly welcomed the visit of Mr. Roger Jame Eltringham, as well as briefed on some of highlighted social-economic achievements over the years. He also said, recently, Bac Ninh has been in the process of development, but still had some difficulties in accessing to new technology in the field of Health. Because of that, Bac Ninh highly appreciated the effort of receiving new technologies to improve the quality of local hospitals. Mr. Chairman wished for the success of those ideas, and the province would provide the best condition for its success. The Department of Health, the Department of Foreign Affairs and Que Vo General Hospital would cooperate with the specialists to finalize the procedure of receiving equipment, as well as training operating staffs so as to contribute to lowering the cost of healthcare service and improving the quality of medical services for the people.
