Officials of Department Inspectorate

The Department Inspectorate is a specialized division of the Department, has the function of advising and assisting the Director of the Department to carry out administrative and diplomatic inspection; settle complaints, denunciations, prevent corruption and wastefulness under state management of foreign affairs in accordance with the law and the direct guidance of the Director and Province Inspectorate and Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the major work of inspection at the same time.

  b. Duties and responsibilities

- To inspect the implementation of assigned policies, laws and tasks of agencies, organizations, enterprises and individuals engaging in activities related to foreign affairs in the localities according to regulations under the law;

- To formulate and submit the Director the annual inspection plan and organize the implementation after being approved;

- To advise the Director in coordination with all levels, law enforcement agencies, the Inspection Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Department of Justice, the Province Inspectorate, Provincial Public Security and relevant agencies to take measures to prevent violations in the field of foreign affairs;

- To assist the Director in guiding, inspecting, resolving complaints, denouncing and preventing corruption; to guide, inspect divisions and units of the Department in implementing the general provisions of the law on inspection and settlement of complaints and denunciations, the prevention of corruption as prescribed; to propose to the Director measures to deal with and prevent violations of the law in the field of foreign affairs in accordance with the law;

- To coordinate with departments and to propagandize and disseminate the Party's and State's undertakings, policies on the work of foreign affairs and educate about the legislation on entry and exit, consul, management of non-governmental aid; work on overseas Vietnamese;

- To monitor, inspect and urge the implementation of the Inspectorate's conclusions, proposals and handling decisions on inspection;

- To closely coordinate with the departments, propose to the Director in the making legal documents on foreign affairs to submit Provincial People's Committee;

- To advise the Department's Leaders on the organizing and directing of the inspection and inspection training for the inspectors;

- To sum up the situation, report on results of inspection, settlement of complaints and denunciations and anti-corruption periodically to the Director, the Provincial People's Committee, the Province Inspectorate and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs;

- To advise and organize the reporting and declaration of assets and incomes of officials annually;

- To perform other duties assigned by the Director./.
