(BNP) - According to information from the Department of Education and Training, at the 2026 European Physics Olympiad (EuPhO) held in Sweden, two students from Bac Ninh province's Specialized High School excellently won Silver Medals, thus continuing to mark the province's leading education on the international stage.

The two students from Bac Ninh province who won Silver Medals are Nguyen Thanh Trung and Hoang Van Thai Son, both 12th-grade students from Bac Ninh High School for Gifted. Their achievement further affirms the position of Bac Ninh's leading education on the international stage. Previously, at the 2025 European Physics Olympiad, two students from Bac Ninh High School for Gifted also achieved impressive results with one Gold Medal and one Certificate of Merit.
The results of the two students from Bac Ninh also significantly contributed to the overall success of the Vietnamese team at the 2026 European Physics Olympiad, with all 5 participating students winning awards: 1 Gold Medal and 4 Silver Medals.
The Gold Medal went to Nguyen Nhat Anh from Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted (Da Nang). Besides the two students from Bac Ninh, the other two Silver Medals went to Nguyen Vu Manh Khang from Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted (Gia Lai) and Luong Duc Gia Bao from Hung Vuong High School for the Gifted (Phu Tho).
The European Physics Olympiad is an annual competition held since 2017 for high school students from European countries and some invited countries, including Vietnam. Each country sends 5 students to participate in both the theoretical and practical parts of the competition. In 2026, the competition will be held from June 12-16, 2026 in Gothenburg (Sweden).
