(BNP) - On the morning of June 16th, at the Vietnam-Korea Bac Giang College of Technology (Bac Giang Ward), the Department of Education and Training organized the opening ceremony of the 2026 Bac Ninh Provincial Vocational Skills Competition.

Attending the opening ceremony were Mr. Le Xuan Loi, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of the Department of Education and Training; and vocational education institutions in the province.
The 2026 Bac Ninh Provincial Vocational Skills Competition attracted 20 participating teams with 220 contestants representing vocational education institutions, businesses, and units in the province.

The contestants participated in 18 industries and professions, including: Electronics; Electrical installation; Industrial automation; Mechanical engineering design - CAD; Information technology network system administration; Information technology (software applications); CNC milling; Welding; Automotive technology; Refrigeration; Chinese language; Construction ceramics production; Construction pottery production; Fashion design technology; Nursing; Pharmacy; Beauty care; Culinary arts. In addition, there are two demonstration trades: Robotics integrated with artificial intelligence and Front-end/Back-end semiconductor technology.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vice Chairman Le Xuan Loi emphasized that, in the context of digital transformation, green transformation, and deep international integration, developing human resources, especially highly skilled technical human resources, is a key strategic task to build Bac Ninh into a modern industrial, high-tech, and service center of the region and the country.
Highly appreciating the scale and quality of the exam's organization, the Vice Chairman stated that this is evidence of the development of vocational education in the province, and contributes to promoting the movement of learning and practicing vocational skills among students and workers. The exam is also an opportunity to discover and honor individuals with outstanding skills, creating a pool for higher-level vocational skills competitions.

The Vice Chairman requested the Organizing Committee, the Examination Council, experts, and judges to strictly adhere to the regulations, ensuring fairness, objectivity, and transparency; creating favorable conditions for candidates to best demonstrate their abilities. At the same time, he urged candidates to participate in the exam with confidence, honesty, solidarity, and high determination.
He also requested vocational education institutions to continue innovating training programs, strengthening ties with businesses, focusing on practical skills, digital skills, foreign languages, and industrial work ethics to meet the requirements of the labor market. The business community should closely cooperate with training institutions in developing vocational skills, creating job opportunities, and ensuring sustainable career development for learners.
At the same time, the Department of Education and Training was tasked with continuing to advise on perfecting mechanisms and policies for the development of vocational education; improving the quality of training and developing high-quality human resources to serve the socio-economic development requirements of the province in the new period, Loi added.
The Bac Ninh Provincial Vocational Skills Competition 2026 will take place from June 16-18, 2026 at two locations: Bac Giang Vietnam-Korea Technology College and Ly Thai To College (Tu Son Ward). Finally, the Organizing Committee will select the best entries to award first, second, and third prizes in each professional category.
